DR. RICHARD CHAU
Certified specialist in oral & maxillofacial surgery
Dr. Richard Chau is a certified specialist in oral & maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Richard Chau completed his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery and medical degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Dr. Chau received extensive training in all areas of the specialty. He also completed a one-year general practice residency in dentistry at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center after obtaining his dental degree from the University of British Columbia (UBC). Dr. Chau also held a dental and medical license in Nebraska prior to returning to BC.
Dr. Chau has an interest in education and teaching, and is currently a part-time Clinical Assistant Professor in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at the Faculty of Dentistry at UBC. He is also a specialist mentor in the Vancouver-based Comprehensive Prosthodontic and Surgical Implant (COMPROSI) Study Club, and lectures locally at various study clubs. His clinical interests include dental implant rehabilitation, which encompasses dental implant surgery and bone and soft tissue grafting.

DR. ADAM SAMJI
Certified specialist in oral & maxillofacial surgery
Dr. Adam Samji is a board-certified specialist in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Born and raised in Burnaby, BC, Dr. Samji obtained his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of British Columbia. While studying dentistry, Dr. Samji developed a passion for surgery and completed his residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Montefiore Medical Centre/Albert Einstein School of Medicine in New York City, one of the largest residency programs in North America.
Dr. Samji is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada and is the Head of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the BC Cancer Agency, Abbotsford. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia where he teaches Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery to dental students and residents. He also serves as an Executive on the British Columbia Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
